About me

Having successfully completed my master's degree in Medical Technology Design at Duke University and concluding my internship at NuVasive, a leading medical device company specializing in spine solutions, I have honed my skills in user-centered design, innovation, and biomedical engineering. During my time at NuVasive, I actively contributed to the development and enhancement of implant systems through involvement in diverse projects, including the redesign of a rod bender to optimize assembly efficiency and the implementation of a design improvement process. This experience allowed me to engage in various aspects of the product development lifecycle, from brainstorming and cross-collaboration to design, testing, and regulatory compliance. My academic journey at Duke University provided a profound understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of healthcare, entrepreneurship, and business within the realm of Medical Technology Design. My passion for entrepreneurship ignited in eighth grade after reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," has guided my involvement in multiple healthcare startups during my undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering. Additionally, I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge as a healthcare consultant for the Consulting Club at the Texas Medical Center, contributing to real-world projects aimed at identifying and proposing solutions for healthcare challenges. As I transition into my full time role at Teleflex, my goal is to leverage the education and experiences gained to contribute to the creation of impactful and innovative medical devices that cater to the unique needs and challenges faced by both patients and clinicians. Excited to explore potential opportunities in human factors segment and apply my expertise in the field of usability in medical devices with guidance from Tressa J Daniels and my colleagues Kay and Ian. "I love to develop healthcare products that make patients feel comfortable, less panicked, and less reluctant to visit hospitals."
