About this session
A Payment BA interview is not just about knowing payment terminology, ISO 20022 messages, or having a good CV. It is about how you think when you are given a real-world problem.
In this mock interview, I will take the perspective of a Payment BA interview panelist and assess how you approach questions, analyse scenarios, ask clarifying questions, identify gaps and explain your thinking.
We can cover areas such as:
- Payment lifecycle and end-to-end processing
- SEPA / Instant Payments
- ISO 20022 and payment messages
- Requirements and functional analysis
- Exception and unhappy-path scenarios
- Payment routing and settlement
- Stakeholder and requirement challenges
- Real-world case/scenario-based questions
- BA thinking and problem-solving
The objective is not to test how much you can memorise.
I want to understand how you think, how you analyse, and how you connect business requirements with real payment processing.
At the end, you will get practical feedback on your analysis, communication, domain understanding and BA thinking, along with areas you can improve before your actual interview.
