GHG Emission Inventory: Scope 1, 2, and 3

In this comprehensive course, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission inventories, crucial for effective climate strategy and reporting. The course covers:

• Scope 1 Emissions: Direct GHG emissions from owned or controlled sources, including combustion of fossil fuels and industrial processes.
• Scope 2 Emissions: Indirect GHG emissions from the consumption of purchased electricity, steam, heating, and cooling.
• Scope 3 Emissions: All other indirect emissions not included in Scope 2, such as those from the supply chain, business travel, waste disposal, and product use.

Through detailed modules, the course will explore methodologies for measuring and reporting these emissions, including adherence to standards such as the GHG Protocol. Participants will also engage with practical case studies to develop skills in calculating and managing their organization’s full GHG footprint.
