About me
Jatinder is a fintech and public policy professional in Inclusive finance space .In the past he worked as Vice President of State Initiatives (Government Relations) at India's Premier Microfinance Industry Association – MFIN, which is a Self-Regulatory Organisation recognised by Reserve Bank of India . In his previous roles at fintech firms like FINO PayTech Ltd he spearheaded initiatives to develop strategic business relationships with multi stakeholders like NABARD, SIDBI, World Bank-IFC,GiZ, leading global corporate foundations etc. He also spearheaded digital finance and financial services literacy projects for un(der) banked customers at FINO.
Jatinder started his career at the State Bank of India in rural retail banking segment (MSME) followed by HDFC Bank Ltd where he was part of Commodities Business Group and subsequently streamed into finance and public policy organisations. Jatinder also worked with Washington D.C based Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX Inc) as a part of Social Performance Management (SPM) team, where he was responsible for MFI capacity building and SPM reporting in Asia and Eastern Europe. Jatinder loves travelling, meeting with different people and reading nonfiction books. He is alumnus of IIM Udaipur & Sanford School of Public Policy Duke University and COADY Institute StFX Canada. He has earned a graduate degree in Public Policy from India . Additionally , he also undertook a Post Graduate Programme in Digital Money at Tufts University. An advance programme in Public policy improvement offered by the ADB-IPA - EPoD at Centre for International Development, Harvard University. He has also earned a certification in Digital finance from the HELIX Institute of Digital Finance ,Nairobi Kenya and trained in Law and regulation at the university of Luxembourg. Jatinder likes reading nonfiction, volunteering his time for not for profit organisations and travelling to distant places.
