About me
I was the youngest ever architect to be awarded fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and I am now also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). I have been mentoring for 4 years and have my own global mentoring company. I am a registered architect, CS&A responsible engineer and public speaker. I am also Nuclear architect at Sellafield Ltd, leading the design on government mega projects in the range of £1.1bn to £1.6bn. My passion is for architecture and mentoring and I have a diverse experience designing cancer centres, offices, laboratories, schools and housing. My main focus was Building Information Modelling (BIM) and has led to becoming a sought-after speaker, with engagements at numerous national and international conferences and private-sector events, including the YouGov, Institution of Civil Engineers, Royal Institute of British Architects, the Manchester University, Guglielmo Marconi University in Rome on Architecture and BIM. I was an advisor to BIM4Nuclear and BIM4clients and have written for journals IStructE and RIBAJ. Currently, I founded the Global Architect Alliance (GAA) and grew the membership to 4,200 members across the globe). I am also the ambassador for the RIBA for Civil Infrastructure and am dedicated to fostering mentorship and leadership within the design community on a worldwide basis. I founded www.globalarchitectalliance.com to expand on these principles.
My past project SMF was a government 'early adopter' scheme using Building Information Modelling (BIM) to deliver cost and schedule benefits for tax payer and has won many awards. I have led the use of BIM on this project and have a published article in November 2013 issue of "The Structural Engineer" titled, "BIM approach to a nuclear project: Sellafield Maintenance Facility".
