Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." - Coco Chanel Hi there, I am Jasleen Kaur 👋 As the saying goes "Fashion is culture" I believed fashion to be a form of self expression, a place to express yourself through art for the body since the start of college. It is through my experince in NIFT that I have been trying to develop my own art style and aesthetics to be able to apply it in real word setting. As a part of my long-term goal, through my creative problem solving skills, knowledge about the fashion industry and the ability to generate ideas quickly I am currently on a mission to build a fashion house where fashion is stylish, sustainable and eco-friendly. Apart from my obsession with fashion, I have always reflected on the social constructs around gender equality and the way it effects the country as a whole. These thoughts stems from my real life observations around the issues of gender equality such as those seen in and around the society. I have experienced working with organizations such as GirlUp India in order to support the cause and help in tackling the issue.
