I am a Counselling Psychologist and Child Development Professional with experience of working with children, adolescents and young adults. While I practice from a pluralistic and eclectic approach and strongly believe in the value of uniqueness of a therapy space; I am majorly inclined towards Humanistic, Existential, and Psychodynamic schools of thought, and often bring in art-based and somatic-based practices in my space. I view mental health from an intersectional, feminist, trauma-informed and queer affirmative space. And strongly believe in creating mental health services accessible to all and community driven.
While working with clients, I always keep in mind the three basic principles of person centered therapy which are empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence. My main goal with my client is to provide them a safe and non judgemental space, with good rapport building where they can share their thoughts and feelings freely.
I have about two years of work experience providing therapy to clients with issues such as: self esteem & identity, childhood sexual trauma and abuse, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief & loss, work life balance, socio-emotional development, life transitions, childhood & adolescent related concerns.
