For me, entering the world of financial planning was my big leap of faith. My goal is to help people understand their finances, make them feel comfortable with where they stand in life and guide them toward their goals. I am a huge believer that taking this approach will produce better results for my clients, myself, and even the image of advisers and the industry. It was after taking the time to reflect on this when JSG Financial Services was born. Just to give you a brief idea, Household FINANCIAL savings have fallen to a 50 year low at 5.1% of GDP and household debt is at 37.6% of GDP. In fact the rate of increase in financial liabilities in FY 23 was the second highest since independence. Liabilities are in form of housing, car and personal loans. While some argue that these loans are being used to buy physical assets, the reality is that households are living their life on debt and with this level of borrowings, achieving any financial goal is going to be next to impossible.
