With over two decades of leadership experience in various sectors, I am a passionate Pacific leader and opera singer who believes in the power of culture and creativity to transform lives and communities. As the Head of Community and Strategic Engagement at RCP, the leading provider of independent project management and strategic advisory services to the New Zealand property and construction industry, I lead the development and implementation of community strategies across the country, with a focus on engaging effectively with Māori, Pasifika, and the wider community. I have a proven record of opening and growing markets in the telecom, marketing, renewable energy, hospitality, and agricultural industries, through establishing partnerships with governments, distributors, retailers, and leading sales and marketing channels. I also have extensive experience in presenting and hosting public fora, sitting on and presenting to governance boards, and leading public engagement, marketing, and communication initiatives. Additionally, I am actively involved at a governance level for three of New Zealand’s premier arts organisations, where I provide expertise and mentorship to help them adapt to the changing arts sector. My background as a professional opera singer and an Executive MBA graduate has equipped me with a unique combination of skills and perspectives that enable me to bridge the gap between business strategy and execution, and to support collaborative work programmes between our teams and local iwi and hapū.
