I also understand that financial planning can become particularly important during a career transition. I have personally gone through a career change, so I know that decisions around taking a break, changing careers or starting something new aren't just career decisions — they can affect your entire financial plan. My approach is to first understand where you are, then work through the numbers, assumptions and trade-offs that matter. I don't believe in chasing returns without understanding the bigger picture.
