About me
Inner Margins began with a small observation - how often we adjust ourselves as we speak, and how many conversations never quite make it into words.
Before an exam, we draw a margin on the page. It sits beside the main answer, holding the rough work, the corrections, the little thoughts we don't want to lose. What finally gets written in the main space is the edited version. I think our inner lives have a margin like that too.
There are thoughts we don't say, feelings we haven't quite understood, things we almost said and then changed our minds about. Inner Margins is a space for those thoughts before they become the final version of anything.
And it grew from another question: what if not everything we do for ourselves had to be useful? We have become accustomed to turning even rest and reflection into something to work on, another habit to build, something to learn from, a better version of ourselves to arrive at.
Through journals, letter-writing circles and small communities, Inner Margins makes room for something slower: a place to pause, notice what is there, and stay with it for a while, without needing to find an answer or make anything of it.
Sometimes, simply having a little space to be where you are is enough.
