Over the last 6 years I went from working minimum-wage jobs ($8.10/hr) to working high-scale tech jobs that make 6-figures and beyond But before that, I grew up in a middle-class family in midwest America. I had nobody around me who knew anything about professional work, or the software industry. I made countless career mistakes. I let people underpay me. And I was fired from my first software job. I want to help you avoid the mistakes I made, and grow as a software developer independently. I know what it's like to want to be a software developer, and have nobody around you that can show you how. I remember when I signed up for my first software class in 2014. I was blown away by how great it felt to be surrounded by people who all shared the same mission as me. Who were excited about the same things I got excited about. For the first time I had peers and an amazing instructor who helped me grow as a developer, and were the first to believe in me. After that I never looked back, got my degree, moved to Los Angeles, and worked my way through the tech industry. I want to give that feeling back to others. I'm hoping to grow a community of developers who feel free too discuss career goals, career struggles, personal struggles, coding advice, and everything in between. I've been in the industry long enough to know what it takes to be a great software developer, and the level of persistence it takes. I'm sharing everything I know, and everything I learn as I continue the journey.
