One of my childhood memories is telling my parents how much I enjoy art and craft classes and how I envision taking this as my profession. But like any other Indian parents, they dismissed it, mind you, they have always been supportive of whatever I chose. Well, time passed by, and I graduated with an engineering degree, further joining one of the top technology firms. I sincerely did my job. Meh, my creative nerve was disappointed. I kept reading about everything design, and voila! Found UX reunited with my love for design. I have worked at India’s biggest design studio as User Experience Analyst for 4 years which has given me quality design wisdom. During my time at the studio, I have taken up various roles as a designer, worked with diverse clients, and collaborated with assorted designers. Delivered complex design projects in an agile environment, and received appreciation for the same. I believe this is what makes me unique as a designer. As a design practitioner, I believe quality user research comes from insightful user interviews, which include recruiting the right participants, asking the correct questions, observing participants for non-verbal cues, understanding user pain points, and more. I am organized as a person, therefore, require all layers in a design file grouped and if required labeled. Further, I like interacting with other designers and understanding their design language and craft. My passion is working towards sustainability and minimalism. When I am not designing, I am occupied in the kitchen baking, exploring my craft skills through DIY projects, making travel plans for my next vacation, or catching up with friends & family.
