About me
Hi, I’m Kartikeya Sharma, and I help students who are planning to come to Ireland for their Bachelor’s or Master’s make better and more confident decisions.
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science at University College Dublin. Alongside my studies, I’m working as a Software Engineer II at eBay. Before coming to Ireland, I worked as a Software Developer II at Mobikwik, as a Software Developer at Rapipay FinTech, and started my journey with Unacademy as a Software Developer Intern.
I know how confusing this journey can feel in the beginning. Choosing the right university, understanding the course, moving to a new country, managing student life, and thinking about jobs at the same time can feel overwhelming. I have gone through the same process myself, and I want to share what I have learned in a simple and practical way.
During my time in Ireland, I have given 5+ interviews in a difficult job market and also worked on a UCD internship project under the VP of Computer Science for a European Union-related initiative. Apart from work and studies, I run my YouTube channel, @savagecarol, where I teach software engineering concepts and share parts of my learning journey, career experiences, and student life.
Honestly, I am not doing this just for guidance sessions. I am doing this because I genuinely want to interact with more people, share my journey, and build myself as a creator. I am doing good in my life, and now I want to connect with students who are starting a similar journey and help them with whatever I have learned so far.
