IELTS Trainer TTT: Giving Feedbacks for Speaking

If you teach IELTS Speaking, you already know the basics, but most trainers are never practically trained on exactly what to listen for during a student's response, or how the band descriptors actually work in real time.

This session is a practical, 1:1 consulting call for IELTS trainers who want to sharpen how they assess and give feedback on speaking, and listen to the student's answer the way an examiner does.

In this hour, we'll cover:

1. What to listen for while a student speaks- beyond just spotting grammar and pronunciation slips
2. Band descriptors in detail, and how to identify exactly where a student is losing marks in each one
3. How to push a student's band score up in each criterion
4. Real-time feedback techniques- knowing when to interrupt and correct, and when to let the response flow
5. Balancing fluency correction vs. accuracy correction, so feedback doesn't kill confidence mid-response
6. A live walkthrough - bring a real student speaking recording, and we'll model feedback on it together
