Hello! I'm Harshika! You can use she/her pronouns while referring to me. I describe myself as a Psychologist, Supervisor & Mentor, Therapeutic Arts Facilitator and Entrepreneur (in the making). I founded Ekya Counselling in 2018 as a solo practice. The vision for Ekya has since grown and expanded to include support group services as well, along with therapeutic services. The focus now is to expand further to provide opportunities for the needs of the peer support and diverse communities. So Ekya at present, is going on a sabbatical and will be work-in-progress from January 2024. I am constantly striving to view the world through a Queer Affirmative and Systemic lens. I am also learning to look at it through Trauma Informed Narratives. My ethical practices are the foundation on which I build and offer professional services that are culturally sensitive and show compassion to both the therapist and client. I believe this helps clients recognize and acknowledge that it is okay for them to take space in the systems that impact them. I've been published in newspapers and magazines & been awarded for my professional work. I communicate in Tamil, Hindi and English. This has allowed me to reach masses and create a safe space and have an impact across global borders (5 countries). At present, I'm a mentor and clinical supervisor to school counsellors of Podar schools across Karntaka, Andhra and Telangana.
