Hi there! I'm Hansel, an upcoming CS graduate seeking new grad roles in software engineering and machine learning. I love to learn new things, and work on impactful projects with kind people! Currently, I am a Software Engineer Intern at Snap, where I lead the development of a handshape recognition model for Snap's AR spectacles, using TensorFlow, Python, and Keras. My internship journey includes experiences at Google, Apple, Datadog, and Expedia, where I've delved into backend engineering with Go, infrastructure development in C++, NLP system refinement, and crafting ML models in Python. As a first-generation, low-income college student, I faced many challenges and obstacles in pursuing my education and career goals. I learned to code in my first year of college, and I had to navigate the professional world without much guidance or support. However, these experiences also taught me resilience, perseverance, and hard work, and motivated me to grow and learn continuously, while helping others along the way. I am actively seeking opportunities to apply my knowledge and skills, and I am especially interested in roles in Machine Learning.
