If you want 1:1 help in solving your doubts relating to living abroad as a student in the USA, this call is for you (directed to parents).
I've lived in Carrboro (home of Cat's Cradle) near Chapel Hill for over a year studying at University of North Carolina. During this time I visited New York and stayed at Queens, Washington DC (for a VISA to Greece), Chicago (taking multiple trains to change terminals), Tuscon (to meet a friend at Arizona University), Las Vegas (partied at the original Wynn Hotel), San Franscisco (North Beach), Los Angeles (Santa Monica), Albany (trek)....all this was in 2008 and 2009.
In 1989-90 I studied 2nd Grade at Loma Linda, California when my parents moved there for a year. I still remember Amanda to my right and Khela to my left in class and how difficult coming back to India, where I grew up, was.
I've been based (mostly) in the United Arab Emirates since 2005 with stints of business in Delhi NCR and Kochi, travelling from Almora to Mount Abu to Vivekananda rock to Durgapur. I was born in Manipal, Karnataka and graduated from National Institute of Technology Karnataka in 2004. I am due to finish my Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (online) from the Univeristy of Leeds in about a month (waiting to celebrate).
I want to help you!
