About me
I am a Software Engineer in Identity Graphs team at The Trade Desk. I work as part of a team of data scientists and engineers that create cross-device, people, and household graphs to power more intelligent ad buying on The Trade Desk platform. My work focuses on quantitative research, documenting software design, communication with the team, and writing efficient code.
Previously, I was a graduate student at Virginia Tech pursuing a Master of Science (Thesis) in Computer Science. My research was in the area of social computing, specifically in mental health related to trigger/content warnings on social media. I've also been an experienced software engineer at Juniper Networks, part of the team responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining routing protocols. My interest in HCI got me back to school.
I'm at the crossroads of having technical skills (Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, data structures, algorithms, using machine learning, C) as well as UX skills (Qualitative Research/Analysis, User Interviews, UX design, Wireframes, Open/Axial Coding, Design Thinking, User Surveys). With this unique perspective, I aspire to use my set of skills into building inclusive and equitable tech. The job label could be Creative Technologist, UX Researcher, Full-Stack Engineer, or in Strategy.
I am creative and curious at heart. Love to learn new things and gain experiences which make me a well-rounded person. (I believe the world is my oyster, and yours too)
Enthusiastic about diversity and inclusion, art, public policy, and mental health.
In my free time, you can find me creating makeup looks, advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights, and mental health, and watching RuPaul's Drag Race/Trixie and Katya on YouTube.

What keeps me going in tech?
I want to contribute to making tech more inclusive and equitable. May it be by conducting user studies focusing on how marginalized people are affected, developing thoughtful software, or increasing gender diversity just by being in the room where important tech decisions are being made.
If you share a similar mission and want to work/participate in a hackathon with me, please send me a message/an email :)
