The one on one interaction was really helpful and insightful. I got clarity on how to look onto my WHY and look at things. It also helped me understand on how to deal with my inhibition while taking up sessions. I would recommend such sessions to my friends who need clarity in communication. Thank you so much Ankit for your valuable time and guidance.

About me
I make a living telling stories and mentoring people into storytelling.
Good Old Storytelling (dot) com is a home for all the storytelling work.
I have done professional training in Storytelling (at Emerson College, England), in Art Therapy (at Bapu Trust, Pune) and in Design Thinking and Game Design (at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US).
I completed a Doctorate focusing on Storytelling and Teacher Education. I received mentorship and immense support from Prof Padma Sarangapani, at Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education (CETE) TISS, Mumbai for PhD journey. Prior to PhD, I studied Empathy building (MPhil), Social Work (MA) and and Journalism (BA Hons) while being a part of and leading a few theatre groups for six years.
I have collaborated and worked with numerous universities and schools, non-profits, social entrepreneurs and corporates across India, UK and US. In the last two years, along with teaching a course at CETE, I have worked on innovative curriculum making projects for state governments. I have also worked as an expert collaborator in Genvir (a project on gender-based violence) with De Montfort University, UK undertaking research and facilitation work with women and transgender community in Pune. I have also acted as a facilitator of Social Emotional Well-being component for the Pravaha Foundation.
Independently, I like to use storytelling for purposeful, voluntary and community building work. Some of my audio stories are available as open resources (kahaanikipoonch) on YouTube. I recently volunteered with schools in Dras, Kargil and Leh, Ladakh in summers of 2024.
I have deeply experienced the magic of storytelling and learning leisurely, with a community - a gift, I consider, worth sharing.
