It was a posh packing trip across Central & Western Europe with a bunch of friends in 2016 that Gautam had the epiphany to start a design and community led Hotel concept for India. A lawyer by qualification and with 3 years of OYO experience behind him, he started Poshtel with first property in 2017 in the most hipster/creative neighbourhood of India- Hauz Khas village in South Delhi. As of 2022, Gautam is building Poshtel 24X7 to be India's most creative Hotel company in the mid market to luxury segment. Poshtel are design-led hotels with a social vibe in the economy to mid-scale segment. Poshtel properties are an average of 25 keys with a gourmet cafe, rooftop micro banqueting spaces, offering local tours and experiences and various other add ons to make a traveller’s stay more social, local, authentic and stylish.
