About me

I am a hardcore researcher and a passionate leader in mechanical engineering with 11+ years of global experience in product development & design, innovation, research & product validation. Throughout my career, I have always been motivated to create meaningful change for any organization I work with through my core analytical skills with complex problem solving and data analysis. In the United States, I accumulated over 8 years of experience in various areas such as concept generation, analyzing, testing, and implementing future technologies. I have filed 6 patents in the United States, with 4 already granted. These patents were also filed in other countries like Britain and China. I have 6 patents granted in Britain (non-provisional and divisional combined) and 1 in China. I have developed a keen ability to implement innovative solutions overcoming challenges. I honed my interpersonal skills by collaborating cross-functionally with teams in Britain, Germany, China, and India on various projects from concept to prototype delivery. I have mentored several incoming engineers and interns for smoother organizational transitions. I initiated and led several research projects for Cummins with my alma mater, Michigan Technological University. I am a part of Cummins-Michigan Tech recruiting team where I attended career fair to give interviews and perform event planning activities. During my 3-year professional stint in India, I worked on vendor development to product standardization processes exhibiting people management and communication skills. I successfully led designers across functions to achieve 9% reduction in tank costs, which required collaboration with external vendors, purchasing team, and project managers. Additionally, I reduced engineering hours by 70% by developing an innovative catalogue and streamlined the design of a patented portable project, which increased delivery time and reduced work repetition. I completed M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Tech. During my master’s degree, I achieved a perfect GPA (4.0) and was the only master’s degree student in my university to receive an outstanding scholarship award for academic excellence. I also earned an Outstanding Scholarship Award from the Graduate school at Michigan Tech. University of Pune has approximately 50 affiliated engineering colleges, and I was among the top 10 out of 3000-4000 students at the university level throughout my undergraduate engineering course. I was awarded the prestigious university rank certificates every year that is only given to the top 10 students.
