About me

Hi there! I'm Gauransh Tandon, a passionate AI researcher and mentor, currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. As a member of the Software Practices Lab, I work under the guidance of Prof. Reid Holmes and Prof. Caroline Lemieux, focusing on Automated Program Repair. My research revolves around auto-generating bug patches and exploring bug-inducing inputs for more efficient debugging. My academic journey began at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Economics. This interdisciplinary background has equipped me with a unique perspective on problem-solving and a keen understanding of the interplay between technology and real-world applications. Before embarking on my Ph.D., I worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at ServiceNow, applying my AI knowledge to real-world scenarios and mentoring new engineers. Hailing from an educational family in New Delhi, India, I have a deep-rooted passion for teaching and am dedicated to merging my love for education with solving complex technological problems in AI and machine learning. As a mentor, I aim to guide and support aspiring AI enthusiasts, helping them navigate the exciting and ever-evolving landscape of cutting-edge technologies.
