Garima Ujjainia is a Public Policy Specialist working with National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog). She is currently attached to Atal Innovation Mission in NITI Aayog, leading strategic programs and policy initiatives focused on promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. With over eight years of work experience, Garima has worked in socio-economic research, policy advisory, and capacity-building initiatives across the Global South and Europe. She is leading major bilateral and multilateral partnership initiatives with WIPO, GIZ, BMGF, UN missions, Danish Environmental Protection Agency, Business Finland, Swissnex among others. Garima is committed towards mentoring startups and innovators. She is actively working with State Governments and Central Ministries in designing policies which drives innovation while protecting environment and regional communities. . Garima is part Startup20 India Engagement Group, initiated during G20 India, and is working with Indian Startup Ecosystem in promoting policy directives and task force recommendation of policy communiqué for incorporating element of One Earth, One Family, One Future. She championed Innovations for You coffee table book series featuring 300+ Indian startups working in sectors of sustainability, green mobility, EV, health and agriculture. She is a regular contributor to newspapers and government magazines like Yojana, Kurukshetra and Employment Newspaper. She holds a degree in Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), India and B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), India.
