How it works Digitally:

The PDF I made is a template — the boxes, lines, and checkboxes are just drawn graphics, not fillable fields. To "edit" it, you have to open it in an app that lets them write or type on top of the PDF as a canvas:

iPad: import into GoodNotes, Notability, or Noteshelf → you write with the Apple Pencil (or finger) directly onto the page, same as a paper planner. The colored tabs on the right are real clickable hyperlinks, so tapping "EXAMS" jumps straight to that page instead of scrolling.

Not on iPad: they can still open it in any PDF annotator (like Xodo, or Notability's Android/desktop version) and type or draw on it.
