My first work experience, in 2018/19, happened at the beginning of my master's degree as a part-time Software Engineer at Grama, dealing more specifically with web development and web application testing. In 2019/20, embarked on a curricular internship, at Grama, to complete a master's degree in Informatics Engineering with a specialization in Intelligent Systems. This internship focused on areas such as Data Science and Machine Learning. At the company, I followed an agile software environment - Scrum, acquired new skills such as Docker and Amazon Web Services, and improved some like Git and Python. In 2021, I joined PrimeIT as a Data Scientist to develop text classification models at the Centro de Medicina Digital P5. In this project, I developed an end-to-end ML pipeline (text preprocessing and vectorization, training, testing, and deployment), performed model hyperparameter tuning and containerization, and created bootstrap confidence intervals for models' performance measures. Still, in 2021, I joined a startup - Huub - which was later acquired by Maersk. Here I am developing time-series forecasting models and maintaining several Data Science projects. I consider myself a person who is always striving to achieve the highest standard possible, at any given task and in any situation.
