As a human centered designer and researcher, with MS in HCI/d, I am passionate about exploring design problems that challenge conventional solutions and broaden my perspective and knowledge. I have a diverse background in software engineering, front-end development, and user experience research, which enables me to understand and address complex problems at the intersection of design and development. Currently, I work as a Research Intern at SureStart. I am a podcaster at Designers Beyond Portfolios, where I talk to design experts and share varied learnings and insights on design topics. I have also worked as a graduate assistant instructor and a research assistant at Indiana University Bloomington, where I assisted students in HCI/D courses and conducted data analysis and user testing for various projects. Previously, I was a UX researcher at SureStart, where I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to design and evaluate AI-based educational products. Additionally, I have three years of experience as a software engineer and a front-end developer at Dell Technologies, where I worked on multiple web and mobile applications for different domains and clients. My core competencies include data analysis, interpersonal communication, and storyboarding. I also have multiple certifications in computer network and security, machine learning, and user experience design. My professors describe me as inquisitive and creative, and my podcast listeners and comic strip followers appreciate my humor and art. My core beliefs are value, intentionality, and happiness. I am interested in working toward eduTech, social informatics, sustainability, and systemic designs.
