I'm a global citizen who was born in Nairobi Kenya and I'm currently based in Cape Town in the Republic of South Africa. I started using computers when I was 5 years old. This was as a result of my dad who being a techie as well made computers, laptops and all sorts of machines easily accessible to my sister and I. As a result, I found early on that I too shared a passion for computers and technology in general. I would dissassemble and reassemble things around the house from computers, remotes, radios and even TVs. It has been over 10 years since I worked my first job at my Uncle's company as a network administrator and having this experience is especially useful for aiding students with a career path towards a dream future. I currently work with businesses of all sizes from micro-enterprises to global scale Fortune 500 companies and my unique experience, global network and technical exposure means I can contribute useful insights and perspective in any engagement from one on one conversations to board level discussions. Fun fact I joined my first board in 2016 and together we achieved our most important goals that we set in the 5 year plan that we drew together. I'm a firm subscriber of the adage "Don't sit on your laurels" or in other words "Stay hungry, stay foolish". I feel that being smug about one's own achievements takes away from the opportunities that can be seized at the present moment. I'm constantly seeking my next growth focus area and the next challenge to surmount because this for me is what makes life really enjoyable. I personally believe in focusing more on the journey rather than the destination and making good lasting memories along the way.
