Building a Café? Start With the Right Decisions.
You can attend workshops, watch videos, download checklists, and read everything there is to know about opening a café.
But when it comes to actually building one, the biggest question is often much simpler:
“Karaycha kasa? Suru kuthun karu?”
I help you answer the most important question: Where do I start?
Because building a café cannot be reduced to a standard formula. Every concept, location, customer, budget, team, and business is different. And every decision you make, from choosing the right space and understanding your market to planning your kitchen, developing the menu, selecting vendors, hiring your team, designing the experience, and managing your finances, affects what your café eventually becomes.
That is why I don’t offer workshops that teach you how to build a café.
I work with you as a consultant.
We begin with a 1:1 consultation where we discuss your idea, understand your vision, identify where you currently stand, and determine what needs to happen next.
You leave the consultation with clarity on your concept, the decisions ahead of you, the gaps you need to address, and a clear direction for moving forward.
And if you need more than a consultation, I can work with you as a project-based Café Consultant throughout the journey of building your café.
This is where my involvement becomes hands-on.
I work alongside you as the café takes shape, from research and experience mapping, concept development, menu and service strategy, customer experience, FSSAI-compliant kitchen planning, brand and interior design direction, financial planning, SOPs, operations, team building, and vendor selection to the many decisions that happen in between.
I also help you navigate the parts of building a café that founders are often expected to figure out on their own.
What equipment do you actually need? Where should you invest and where can you save? Which vendors should you speak to? How do you compare quotations? Who can you trust to execute the work? What needs to be in place before your café is ready to operate?
You don’t have to build that network from scratch.
Through my work across food, hospitality, design, and café development, I can connect you with relevant professionals, vendors, and collaborators based on the needs of your project, from chefs and menu development teams to branding professionals, interior designers, architects, civil teams, kitchen equipment vendors, packaging suppliers, technology partners, and operational staff.
But my role doesn’t stop at making introductions.
I help you evaluate your options, understand what you are paying for, identify what your café genuinely needs, participate in key discussions, compare recommendations and quotations, and make decisions that align with your concept, budget, operations, and long-term goals.
I will be part of the conversations with your chefs, designers, architects, civil teams, branding partners, vendors, and operational staff, helping you ask the right questions, communicate your vision, align decisions, and keep the many moving parts working toward the same goal.
You remain the founder. The vision remains yours.
My role is to bring the strategy, structure, creative direction, network, and hands-on professional guidance required to turn that vision into reality.
Because you don’t need someone to teach you how cafés are built.
You need someone who knows how to help you build yours.
