About me
In April 2019, I’ve quit my job to start my own retail product company.
(Great timing)
In September that same year, after 4 months of building my business, things were finally falling into place.
We were getting some local, even some national press coverage.
Revenue was going up, month over month. It felt good. It had a good vibe to it.
Then came 2020 and together with it: COVID
I wish I could tell you, that this is a cliché Hollywood success story despite all the challenges.
It isn’t.
Having bootstrapped it myself and after struggling through 2020, we finally had to shut things down.
It is difficult when you have to kill your darlings, but at times, things are out of your control.
The best you can do, is to keep delivering value to your users, and hope that they will love your product enough, to keep using it when times are bad.
It is difficult to build products that your customers love.
It involves a lot of experimentation and failure.
I know, I learned it the hard way. Twice.
My mission, is to teach 1 million creatives to become better at their craft, and learn to deliver value to their users. All, while getting stakeholder buy-in.
