Lately, I've been getting questions from people of all ages. Questions like: •⁠ ⁠"I don’t feel fulfilled in my job. But interestingly, every role I've landed wasn't from a direct application. All were unexpected. Though the job titles I’ve held have varied extremely, my “Why” has stayed constant. I know what brings me joy and fulfillment, and all the roles I’ve held reflect that. My journey has been filled with uncertainties, including visa challenges in the United States. I did not win the H-1B work visa lottery, had to pivot and give up jobs I loved multiple times, and almost lost hope. Born in Singapore and having grown up in Malaysia with a Malaysian passport, obtaining the "Extraordinary Ability" O1-B artist visa was a significant milestone, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for me. My life has been a journey of unexpected chapters—from arriving in the United States on a scholarship, working at two Olympic Games, editing fascinating documentary films (including collaborations with Bill Gates!), living in the heart of Washington D.C. and traveling to over 30 countries, to now being immersed in the tech world of Silicon Valley.
