I research how AI systems shape the humans who use them — the longitudinal effects on cognition, capability, and autonomy that sit beneath the more familiar categories of risk, safety, and alignment. My independent work includes The Formative Lens (Zenodo, 2026), a whitepaper proposing formativity as a fourth dimension of AI governance, and two US provisional patents on intent-aware interaction governance and closed-loop conversational governance (as primary inventor). I'm currently interested in the emerging frameworks — ISO/IEC 42005, EU AI Act post-market monitoring, NIST AI RMF — as they evolve.
