The Household Toolkit

The Household Toolkit
Digital Product

The Household Toolkit is the hands-on companion to The Slouching Household — four ready-to-print A4 sheets designed to turn the book's ideas into daily action without adding anything complicated to an already full day.

It opens with the Household Posture Audit Sheet, a scored self-assessment that takes two minutes to fill in. Parents check themselves and their child against ten specific observations, then do a side-on photo check to see what the body actually looks like at rest — not posed, not performing, just honest. The audit creates a starting-line number for both people, which you repeat on Day 22 to see the change.

The Adult Desk-Setup Checklist works through your actual workstation in order — free fixes first, paid fixes only if needed. Every item has a short "why" line so you understand what you're fixing, not just that you're fixing it. It also covers the reality many Indian professionals live in: the sofa, the bed, the dining table, the flat with no dedicated workspace.

The Child Study-Space Checklist applies the same logic to a smaller body and a different set of problems — chair fit, screen height, lighting, and the school bag. It's built for shared rooms and small homes, not the aspirational study-room setup. The closing reminder ties directly back to Chapter 10: the goal is a space the child slumps in less on their own, not a space you have to police.

The 21-Day Household Reset Tracker is a single-page grid — four daily columns covering adult movement, adult setup, child screen position, and one shared family moment — plus a notes column for a single honest line per day. It's designed to go on the fridge. Missing a day is built into the instructions. The point is not a perfect streak; it is a household default that keeps re-forming even after the inevitable bad week.

The four tools are sequenced to match the book's four parts, so a reader moving through the chapters always has something to do with their hands, not just their head. Together they turn a book about posture into a system a household can actually run.
