"I am Dr. Vilas Bhagwat Phartade, a marine microbiologist passionate about decoding the molecular and microbial mechanisms that keep corals healthy. My research focuses on coral mucus as a frontline defense—studying its antimicrobial properties, microbial community dynamics, and responses to environmental stress. By integrating microbiology, molecular biology, and marine ecology, I aim to develop non-invasive approaches for early detection of coral stress and support global reef conservation. I am open to collaborations in coral microbiology and marine microbial ecology."
