Dr. Reetuparna Biswas

Emailing professors but not hearing back? It can be difficult to know what to write, how to introduce yourself, and when to follow up.

I’ll help you write clear, personalised emails that show your research interests, highlight your relevant experience, and explain why you’re interested in a professor’s work.

During one week of guidance, you’ll learn how to:

• Write a focused subject line and introduction.

• Connect your background to the professor’s research.

• Ask about MSc, PhD or research opportunities professionally.

• Avoid common mistakes and follow up politely.

What to expect in this session?

1. You’ll receive feedback on your email drafts, with WhatsApp support for questions and clarifications throughout the week.
2. I will teach you how to improve your overall approach

The goal is to help you send stronger emails confidently—and develop a skill you can use for future applications. Replies depend on the professor’s availability and opportunities, so they cannot be guaranteed.
