From a young age, I have always been drawn to exploring and trying out different things, while still maintaining a high level of quality in each task I undertake. I believe this is a valuable trait that has stayed with me throughout my life. I am Praveen Kumar, and I hold a Doctor of Medicine degree in Clinical Pharmacology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, one of India's top medical institutes. Clinical pharmacology is a broad field that deals with drugs and their effects on patients. In addition to this training, I also received formal clinical trials training. Currently, I work as a Manager of Clinical Research at Nference, where I lead teams in developing software products to solve problems in the medical industry and conduct analysis of electronic health records to answer important, unanswered questions. I have a strong record of achievement, including the VK Bhargava Gold Medal for being the top outgoing student in preclinical sciences at PGIMER, Chandigarh. I am a team player and have contributed to over 70 indexed publications across various specialties of medicine and surgery (with >1000 citations and an i-10 index of 30). I have also self-trained in programming languages such as R, Python, Unix, and SQL (especially Spark SQL) to help me solve medical problems and increase efficiency through automation. I have experience in developing information extraction software to extract insights from billions of data points in real-time. My passion is to find solutions (such as drugs, medical devices, or diagnostics) that significantly improve patient care, and to conduct groundbreaking clinical trials that transform the way patients are treated.
