About me

As a Nuclear Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, I perform nuclear criticality calculations for storage and transportation casks of nuclear fission fuels using the SCALE software developed by ORNL. This involves conducting thorough research, performing detailed analyses, and generating reports. For my PhD thesis work at Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar, I developed the Doppler Shifted Spectroscopy diagnostics system for the hydrogen neutral beam of the Indian Test Facility, the test bed for the Diagnostic Neutral Beam of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). I developed a forward modelling scheme to estimate the spectroscopy signals and the code is bench-marked with experimental results. Proposed a novel method of de-convolution of broadening factors to minimize the beam divergence estimation error. Established neutral beam spectroscopy experimental setup at ROBIN ion source and performed experiments to estimate the beam divergence and beam in-homogeneity. I am skilled in nuclear criticality, shielding, fuels, ion source operation, experimental plasma physics, plasma spectroscopy, modelling of neutral beams, data analysis.
