I am a Caribbean based dentist who is passionate about continung education and the empowerment of my regional colleagues - with the hope and intention that the patients and polulations whom we serve will be to ultimate benefactors of our continuously growing and expanding knowledge and skills. My specialty training is in Periodontics and Health Care Ethics and Law - but I am still in touch with most aspects of General Dental Practice. However, my specialist training has lead me to understand how policies made near and far can and do often have far reaching effects - both positively and negatively in the care that is (or is not) received by the average citizen- or should I say patient. I see great potential for the improvement of health care to the people of the Caribbean region through the intentional sharing of knowledge to patients, other health professionals and key stakeholders in the health care industry. I also think that this can be achieved through collaboration with both within the region, and where possible with extra-regional partners with similar values and goals.
