I am a dentist turned epidemiologist with a strong commitment to advancing public health through evidence-based research, policy design, and large-scale program implementation. My pursuit of a career beyond clinical dentistry led me to earn a Master of Public Health in Social Epidemiology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, where I developed a deep interest in the social determinants of health, health equity, and health systems strengthening. Over the past several years, I have worked with leading institutions including AIIMS, ICMR, WHO, NHSRC, and TISS, contributing to projects in primary health care, tuberculosis elimination, cancer prevention, and non-communicable disease control. My experience spans policy translation, program monitoring and evaluation, capacity building of health teams, and community engagement strategies at national, state, and district levels. I am particularly interested in bridging research with practice, ensuring that policies are not only evidence-driven but also contextually adaptable to improve health outcomes across diverse populations. Beyond my professional commitments, I am a mountaineer, rock climber, and marathon runner, pursuits that reflect my values of discipline, endurance, and resilience—qualities I also bring into my public health career.
