I'm working at Western Digital as a firmware development engineer for OptiNAND technology. Previously worked with Robot Operating System (ROS) on a low-cost implementation of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) with integrated LiDAR and vision sensor. Before that, I was actively involved in designing and building electronic systems for the RVCE Solar Car Team (RVCST). RVSCT is a team of around 30 highly ambitious students with the vision of building next-generation solar race cars. We are the only team from India to participate in the World Solar Challenge, Australia (as they call it, Formula 1 for Solar Cars). As a child, I was very excited about how a computer works, wanted to know every minute detail and anatomy of a computer. A degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering helped me get a bird's eye view of the hardware concepts in the working of a computer. 'Building a modern computer from first principles, NAND to TETRIS', a course by Noam Nisan and Shimon Schocken, further helped me bolster the concepts of different computer systems - the interactions of hardware, software, compilers, and operating system. My journey so far has been a pursuit of finding the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to complete the picture of my childhood dreams. As I grow mentally and physically, even the picture is growing - adding more pieces to the puzzle. "It's not the destination, but the journey" is a quote by some great person. I'm thrilled to experience the rest of my journey. Apart from this, I spend my time learning astronomy and mostly stargazing. Aspiring to be an astrophotographer (waiting to get some expensive gear for good-quality content).
