About me

I’m Divya, a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Alexa, where I build production AI systems powered by LLMs and agent workflows. My focus is on making these systems reliable and practical, including evaluation, prompt improvement, multi step agent flows, and observability. I have over 8 years of experience in software engineering across enterprise platforms and modern conversational AI. I enjoy working at the intersection of strong engineering fundamentals and applied AI, where ideas must hold up against real users and real constraints. Outside my core role, I experiment with agentic workflows, participate in AI hackathons, and mentor engineers and students on system design, communication, and career growth. I started mentoring because I know how hard it is to navigate this field alone. There is a lot of noise and not enough practical guidance on how real systems are built or how careers grow. I have learned many lessons through trial and error, from improving my technical thinking to communicating my work clearly. If I can help someone move faster, avoid common mistakes, or feel more confident, that feels meaningful to me.
