I catalyze the social, economic and environmental impact of businesses by applying learnings from my diverse experience of nearly a decade and a half. THE LONG STORY: I am a high-energy creative and strategic thinker with nearly 14 years of hands-on experience in the private for-profit sector, including 7+ years of leadership experience, in a diverse range of roles in Strategic Planning, Management, Market Research, Consumer Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Product Design, and Entrepreneurship, across multiple industries such as FMCG, healthcare, appliances, automotive, retail, and media. I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in complex, dynamic, and fast-evolving work environments through cross-functional teams and multi-stakeholder partnerships. Through the course of my career, I have effectively collaborated with various stakeholders from the grassroots to the boardroom - from leading research studies in the field with consumers in 12+ Indian states and UTs, to presenting reports and brainstorming on business solutions with C-Suite executives at top conglomerates. I have a PG Diploma in Management from MICA, Ahmedabad, and recently earned the MicroMasters® program credential in Data, Economics, and Development Policy (DEDP) by MIT’s Department of Economics and J-PAL. After a long and successful stint in the corporate world, I ‘reinvented’ my career a few years ago by collaborating with artisans and small business owners to start a 'hybrid' micro-enterprise with mixed goals of economic and social value creation. Deep into my entrepreneurial journey, I realized that I wanted to continue to steer my career further in this new direction with more serious development objectives for wider, more meaningful impact. Once the startup failed due to the pandemic, I went on to pursue and complete the MITx MicroMasters® to build both practical skills and theoretical knowledge to address global challenges by working on complex, multidimensional, and long-ranging real-world development problems. My areas of interest and specializations include Strategic Management, Design Thinking, Human Insights, Social, Economic and Environmental Impact, and Entrepreneurship. I firmly believe in the transformative potential of social innovation and am passionate about empowering innovators. I am excited to be a part of WRI India's unique, fast-growing and innovative Land Accelerator South Asia program, and play my role in building transformative solutions to protect the earth, promote livelihoods, and enhance human well-being.
