About me
As a research assistant at the Communicable Disease Bureau of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, I apply my knowledge and skills in preventive medicine, epidemiology, and public health to study and prevent the spread of zoonotic and vector borne diseases. I use geographic information systems (GIS) and SAS software to collect, analyze, and visualize data, and to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and the public. I have over two years of medical research experience, including a year as a research assistant in oncology at the Cancer Hospital and Research Institute Amravati, where I contributed to several projects on cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. I also have a year of hospital internship experience at the Super Speciality Govt Hospital, where I gained clinical skills and exposure to various specialties. I hold a Master in Public Health degree from New York University, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Mumbai. I have also completed multiple certifications in epidemiology, healthcare systems, and digital skills. I am passionate about improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities through evidence-based and innovative solutions.
