Ever since writing my first program in Java and manipulating it to produce a desired output, I have been fascinated with the idea of using software to solve practical problems. For my first professional contract with Thermo Fisher Scientific, I was given the opportunity to work with Java microservices (Backend Development), Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using Jenkins (DevOps), implementing Java automation test suites and adding new features to an AngularJS frontend application (Frontend Development). A few months into my first professional contract, I inherited an iOS app project from a different team (this iOS app was already available in the Apple App Store), and I was tasked with adding an enhancement to this existing iOS app. This was my first tryst with iOS App Development, and I noticed that the code we write has the potential to create an amazing user experience. I became obsessed with learning new techniques and skills in Swift to improve app performance, and in the process I realized one of my passions of working on iOS mobile apps. My work also requires me to work with and be familiar with various AWS services such as DynamoDB, SNS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, RDS, ECS and other AWS services. Apart from Backend Development, Frontend Development and iOS Mobile App Development, I also have experience in designing REST APIs and Web Solutions at scale - both High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD). The peak traffic these solutions have experienced is 35 - 40 HTTP(s) requests per second, and contributed to my system design experience. In my free time, you can find me - 1.
