Design interviews aren't just about having good projects. They are about how you present your thinking, explain your decisions, and communicate your design process with confidence.

In this session, I'll share practical, industry-tested strategies to help you prepare, whether you're applying to design school, internships, your first design role, or want to simply understand how these interviews really work.

What we'll cover:

1. Presenting your portfolio effectively. Structuring and walking through your projects so interviewers clearly understand your thinking, process, and decisions.
2. Answering common interview questions, including "Walk me through your design process," "Why did you make this decision?," and "How do you handle feedback or constraints?"
3. Time management and communication during the interview. Pacing yourself, staying confident, and connecting with interviewers without rushing.
4. Letter of motivation and portfolio positioning. Writing a compelling SOP/cover letter and aligning your portfolio with the role or program you're applying for.
5. Common mistakes and quick feedback. The small things that quietly weaken a strong portfolio, plus suggestions to sharpen how you present your work.
