HM Technical Interview Prep | 90 min session with Derin Joseph

After your initial recruiter call, the next step is typically a hiring manager interview, and this stage is critical. It’s often technical in nature, designed to assess not just your skills but also how you think, communicate, and fit into the team. As an Engineering Manager who has led many of these interviews, I know exactly what makes a candidate stand out.

In our sessions, we’ll prepare for the types of questions you’re likely to face, from technical deep-dives and coding exercises to system design and scenario-based problem solving. We’ll also focus on how to clearly explain your thought process and approach, which is often just as important as getting the solution right.

I’ll give you direct feedback from a hiring manager’s perspective so you can refine your answers, sharpen your communication, and walk into the interview confident and prepared. Whether you’re aiming for your first engineering role or a leadership position, I’ll help you succeed at this pivotal stage.
