Dr. Deeksha Malik is an enterprise AI and data transformation leader with over 15 years of experience building and scaling data and AI capabilities across Retail, Financial Services, e-Commerce, and Energy. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (AI & Data Sciences) from Rennes School of Business, France, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Statistics from the University of Delhi. She currently serves as Vice President and Head of the AI Centre of Excellence at Jio-bp (a Reliance Industries and bp joint venture), where she is building and leading enterprise-wide AI transformation. Appointed to establish the AI function from inception, she has set up the AI CoE, defined the enterprise AI strategy and governance model, and is leading a multi-wave AI transformation program deploying AI and Generative AI across Fuel Retail, Electric Mobility, Aviation, e-Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and corporate functions. Her mandate includes building the enterprise data and AI platform, institutionalizing MLOps and responsible AI frameworks, and aligning AI investments with measurable business outcomes. Prior to Jio-bp, Deeksha served as Head of Data at Pi Securities, where she built and scaled the organization’s Data function across Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science, and ML Engineering. As a Senior Leadership Team member, she aligned data strategy with business growth, risk management, and digital transformation initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held strategic and technical leadership roles at global organizations including dunnhumby–Tesco, Target, Lowe’s, and Pomelo Fashion. She is recognized for bridging advanced AI capabilities with commercial strategy and for building high-performance, future-ready teams.
