Debmalya Biswas is one of the most influential people in the EnterpriseAI world today. With 50+ patents to his name, he has been engaged in pioneering research and fundamental patents around Federated Learning, Reinforcement Learning & XR Privacy. After his B.E. from Amravati University, he moved to Canada for his Masters, and followed it with a PhD (Distributed Systems) from INRIA, the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation - making him a global citizen with degrees in three different continents. Overall, he has over 20 years of experience working on AI/ML, Big Data Analytics, Privacy & Security related topics; most recently as Director, Data Analytics & AI at Wipro, Switzerland. He has previously worked for leading technology companies, e.g., Nokia, SAP, Oracle, Swisscom, and led technology development at deep tech startups, e.g., Iprova and Darwin Edge. He is a continuous learner and likes discussing all things technology - you will often find him presenting at some of the leading AI/ML conferences in the world. He remains active in the research and startup worlds advising many startups and EU projects (e.g., AI4EU, XR2Industry), most recently, as an 'independent expert' working with the EU AI Office in drafting the EU AI Code of Practice.
