Has made noteworthy contributions in teaching, applied research, technology development and service to industry, particularly in the areas of engineering ceramics, bio-ceramics and refractories. Published 4 important books (Nanostructured Ceramics: Characterization and Analysis,, Ceramic Processing: Industrial Practices, Introduction to Refractories for Iron and Steelmaking, Fundamental Design of steelmaking Refractories), 5 book chapters, more than 75 research papers in refereed journals and 6 national and foreign patents. Also supervised 12 funded projects worth multi Crores and 10 Ph. D theses of which 5 have received the degree.
