I am currently working as a MTech (Research) Scholar at the Microbiome Informatics Lab in the Computational Biology Department of IIIT Delhi. This transition reflects my growing commitment to contributing to cutting-edge research at the interface of biology and computation. Following my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Techno International, Newtown (2023), I served as a Junior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, working on the project “Diabetic Prediction over Telephonic Health Recovery” under the EECS Department—an experience that sparked my interest in computational approaches to health and biomedical data, particularly Machine Learning and Deep Learning for Healthcare. I then spent over a year in the Computer Architecture Research Group as a Research Assistant at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, where I strengthened my technical and analytical skills through involvement in high-performance computing and systems research. With a strong foundation in core Computer Science and Data Science, I have developed a growing passion for Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, and Biological data analysis. My research interests particularly include Metagenomics, Machine Learning in Biology, and the application of tools like Python and R in data-driven biological research. I am also actively exploring emerging research areas such as Scalable Data Science, as well as the intersection of Computer Architecture with Computational Biology and Algorithm Design. These domains align closely with my interests in building efficient, high-impact computational solutions for complex biological and data-driven challenges. I thrive in collaborative research environments and am always eager to work with visionary mentors and interdisciplinary teams. As a driven researcher, my long-term goal is to pursue a Ph.D. abroad in Computational Biology or a related interdisciplinary domain. I aim to explore and develop scalable computational solutions to complex biological and health-related problems, bridging gaps between algorithmic innovation and life sciences. Besides that, I'm working as a Mentor for GATE Computer Science and Data Science Aspirants (https://topmate.io/debarshi_roy) and also as a Motivational Speaker for serving Mankind. My Hobbies are playing Cricket, playing Chess, Drama, swimming, reading non fictitious & spiritual books.
